The Buffelsdrift Foundation, internationally recognised for its ongoing community upliftment projects across the Little Karoo, will launch a Teachers Wellness and Development Initiative in 2026 aimed at strengthening and supporting local educators.

According to Lucius Fourie, Foundation Manager, Buffelsdrift has a long-standing commitment to supporting local schools, learners and communities, creating meaningful and lasting impact in the region.
The program begins on 4 March. It is made up of six sessions spread over three months.
“Recognising the crucial role teachers play in shaping communities, this initiative focuses on supporting educators’ well-being, personal growth and professional development. Strong, empowered teachers lead to thriving classrooms, improved learner outcomes, and healthier communities,” Fourie said.
The programme will be facilitated by Bianca Oranmore-Brown, a certified International Facilitator of Attitudinal Healing International. Her philosophy centres on living a humble life grounded in love and inner peace.
Oranmore-Brown will lead group workshops using the Peer Support Model of Attitudinal Healing. The sessions will provide teachers with practical tools for self-reflection, personal transformation and achieving greater peace of mind.
Oranmore-Brown explained that attitudinal healing is founded on the principle that it is not external circumstances or other people that disturb us, but rather our own thoughts and attitudes about them.
“By focusing on changing our own attitudes instead of trying to change others, individuals learn self-healing in the face of life’s challenges. The approach is based on universal principles of love and forgiveness and has benefited people of all ages, cultures and walks of life.”
Through this initiative, the Buffelsdrift Foundation aims to equip teachers with the resilience, skills and inner balance necessary to perform at their best, ultimately supporting sustainable community upliftment.
Educators who are passionate about personal growth and improving learner outcomes are encouraged to participate.
By investing in the well-being and development of teachers, the Foundation continues its mission of building stronger communities through education, acknowledging that empowered educators remain the cornerstone of a thriving society.
